How to buy a gift?

Did you know that 84% of adults receive gifts they do not want? And, about 33% of people will end up returning their gifts?
Don’t waste your effort in choosing the right gift if it's not going to be what they want!
Avoid all that and learn how to choose the right gift. Start off by asking yourself a few questions
  • What is their personality like?
  • Matching your gift with their interests and personality is easy and fun.
  • What is their favorite color?
  • Buy them something in that color, and they will really appreciate it.
  • What do they do? What’s their line of business?
  • Give them something of use. A useful gift is a long lasting one.

If you are lucky enough to know these answers, you may have already thought of something to buy.
Unfortunately, many people cannot answer these questions. You'd be surprised at how little you really know about others. But when the person you have to choose a gift for is a close friend or part of the family, this gift should impress! That makes it even more difficult to buy it, and you don’t want to be embarrassed. We all fell victims of bad gifts. Don’t waste money and effort.
Still need help? Let's consider some major aspects: your time, budget (how much are you willing to spend), distance, effort, impression. With everyone's' busy schedule no one has time to shop around! If you are not pulling your hair out by those questions, then you will be by the time you are looking for the gift! Did you ever think choosing a gift would be this complicated?
It's really easy. Give them a D-cadou gift voucher, let them choose what they really want and like.
Don’t worry about shopping, waiting in line, frustrations, they want a gift voucher anyway! This person wants to shop for their own gift, and they appreciate receiving a gift voucher more than any other gift. Don’t choose a gift they will not like and end up throwing away.
Leave all of your worries and stress behind. Don’t buy any gift- buy the perfect gift!!!

Personalize It!!!

We all look for ways to give something of our "special touch” so people can always remember us. There are many ways to show our personality in what we do and what we give, especially when we are giving a gift. It isn't enough to give any gift, it has to be from the heart.
What ways are there to do so?

1. Write a note.
Express your feelings along with the gift. Write them something special to make them feel good. A few words will draw a smile on their face, or even make them giggle.

2. Wrapping is everything.

Don't get lazy on the gift wrapping. This is your chance to show your creative side and go for something that matches their personality and spirit. Take a look at our delightful gift packaging ideas.

3. Add a photo.

Photos are the best reminder of our special moments. Whether you send an album or just one photo, it sure will leave a lasting memory for everyone to share.

4. Get everyone involved.

Have you ever received a gift by a group of people and felt even more special? Just knowing that everyone was thinking about you, whether it is your family or friends, leaves kind of a deep emotional embrace like feeling. I remember receiving a gift from all my co-workers, and how overjoyed I was. I can’t remember the gift but can never forget the gesture.

5. Gift Baskets.

Putting together a gift basket filled with goods that the person will enjoy, shows that you have put a lot of thought into the gift. That also shows how much you know about a person to be able to assemble all their favourite things in one basket.

6. More value.

We all know it's true; that a gift with more value does attract more attention. Which shows that sometimes, value does matter.

Always remember that you can make your gift more valuable when it is “just because”… You don’t need a birthday, anniversary, or a special occasion to show someone how much you care.

Still a gift can mean a lot more than how much it’s worth.

5 Reasons to Give Thoughtful Presents

Someone once told me - that "Gift-buying should be made illegal and punishable by death" - whether you are gift phobic or you just need a little nudge to get you motivated, there are good reasons to put some real effort into finding a special gift for someone .
Why should we bother buying gifts?
My first answer would be - 'Giving is what separates man from beast'. Corny, I hear you shout... probably, but we all know that giving and receiving a special present can be incredibly powerful and emotional. Remember, it's more than just a gift it's a demonstration of your feelings . Let's investigate a little further...

1 - Gift giving is a way to invest in relationships

Buying presents is actually a way to invest in a relationship . In essence, it is a social lubricant, a way to celebrate life, love and friendship and become a better partner, spouse, friend, employer and person.

2 - More than just a gift - an extension of your personality

As you give time, energy, thought and love you are showing your personality and your generosity as a human being. Buying and giving presents is an opportunity to show who you really are .

3 - Presents transcend money, age and need

When asked what would make gift buying a dream for us, we often answer that having limitless money would allow us to buy the best presents for our loved ones... Wrong! In fact small thoughtful gift s can be far more valuable than expensive ones... It's all about showing people that you care and think enough about them to work out what really makes them smile.
What's more, presents can transcend age and even need: a gift from a child can be, and often is, invaluable. A present does not need to be needed or useful to delight the recipient, it's about thanking and expressing gratitude.

4 - Giving presents is satisfying

Giving presents should provide both the giver and the receiver great satisfaction and a sense of fulfillment ... Of course gifts should come from the heart and do not work if bought out of obligation rather than love.

5 - Giving presents can make YOU happy!

If you're unsure about the power of giving presents and find our reasons to indulge in gift giving rather clichéd - try our simple 'gift test' . Chances are you'll find it's a good way to cheer yourself up when you are feeling a little down.
Simply buy a small token gift for someone you love and give them the present 'just because' ...
See what happens...

10 Reasons to Give a Gift

Did you ever feel like gifting has become a chore, rather than a fun thing? Gifting is an act of giving something willingly without expecting anything in return. It is a thoughtful deed that shows how you sincerely care and remember, whether there is an occasion or just because.
Do you love receiving gifts? Everyone sure does!! That’s why we give gifts, because we know that we’ll be making someone happy.
So what are the reasons for gifting?
Below are the top 10:

  1. Expressing your love
  2. Whether it’s your partner or friend, you should always express how much you admire them.
  3. Birthdays
  4. There is no age limit for celebrating birthdays. Young or old, it is always a special day for them. So give them extra attention on this day, pamper them, and to top it all off, don’t forget their D-cadou voucher!!
  5. Appreciation.
  6. Words cannot always express our appreciation for someone. Gifts can say a lot. Show your appreciation in giving. It doesn’t have to be the most expensive gift money can buy, instead, it’s about showing how much someone means to you.
  7. Rekindle relationships
  8. It is difficult to stay in touch with all the people in our lives. Still, this is not an excuse to let them go. Give them a gift to freshen your relationship, and keep those special people in your life.
  9. Gratitude
  10. The best way to thank someone for their support, help, or just for being a good friend, is giving something back. A gift is always notable and never forgotten.
  11. Anniversary
  12. One of the most significant occasions. A celebration of a whole year together, the good the bad and the ugly experiences throughout the year they all makes this occasion a supreme one for all the meanings it holds for any couple.
  13. House Warming
  14. Do you know someone who just moved, or bought a new house?
We don’t always have time to help them move, so giving a gift will impress.
  15. New job or a Promotion
  16. Getting a new job or a promotion has a lot of impact on any one. Be a part of their excitement or relief their stress by showing support. Give them a gift to remind them of this exceptional day.
  17. Graduation
  18. There is nothing better than success, it is the utmost pleasure. Push them to a higher edge of jolliness by providing them with a gift from the heart.
  19. Apology
  20. We sometimes make mistakes, cause embarrassments, or hurt feelings. Words are not always enough to clear a page, or atone for fault actions. A gift can touch their tender heart and breach all barriers.
